Web Design Portfolio

Petals by KC

Our friend Kathy at Petals by KC needed a website that would showcase her handmade bridal accessory business. It needed to be simple and easy for her to update, and showcase photos of the product in a nice large way.

Using WordPress and the NextGen gallery, we were able to configure a custom design for her that is easy to manage, and looks professional. We also integrated her blog to feed into her Facebook page, and integrated her Etsy story into both her website and Facebook.

David Walter Photography

David Walter is a professional fine art and concept photographer in New York. He was ready to make the step this year from a static HTML site that showcased his work to a content management system that would allow him to more easily update his photo gallery.

We designed a custom template that can showcase some of his favorite work on the front page, a blog to update and tell the stories behind his images, and a gallery management system that will allow him to update and maintain his own photography gallery quite easily.

Here’s what David had to say about our work:

I recently decided that it was time to have a new look to my website, and decided to contact Live View Studios after hearing about the work that Brent did for my church’s website.

I had some ideas of how I wanted my site to look.  Brent was wonderful to work with, he would take my ideas and play with them to translate what my vision was to something that was doable on the web.  In the end, it was a combination of my vision and input from him that produced the finished look.  He was even accommodating in regards to my financial constraints and worked with me so my new website would be “out there” for all to see as soon as possible.

I highly recommend choosing Live View Studios for any and all web services you may have.

Back In Action Physical Therapy

We were excited to develop this site for several reasons – it was a local business and we love working with and helping our local friends out, and it was also the first contract we’d done that was the result of a direct search query to our website (most of our clients are word of mouth referrals).

The folks at Back in Action wanted a site that would convey their community involvement with the local sports teams, as well showing that they work with people of all ages and not just athletes.

This fun group of people also wanted to be able to update their site with current news, so we built it on a Joomla content management system.

Since they wanted to convey the sharpest professional image, they also hired us for photography of their facilities, staff, and showing them working with various clients to use as imagery throughout the website. This really helped in place of stock photos in making the site more personal and branding it with their own style.

Snappy Lube

Snappy Lube is a Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina based chain of oil change and inspection stations.

With their site, they wanted to convey a sharp, clean image that was easily navigated and gave them the ability to post specials and coupons.

In addition, the site features a nice store locator feature integrated with Google maps and driving directions that allows any web visitor to quickly find the Snappy Lube location nearest to them.

American Comfort Solutions

Another local business project, American Comfort Solutions wanted the ability to maintain their website easier than their current site allowed. We installed a Joomla content management system with some extra features like built in video galleries, and a section of energy saving articles.

American Comfort Solutions wanted to focus on their commitment to green energy throughout the site, as well as conveying their patriotic business theme.

They were already an existing client of ours, and  had a Joomla website system built on a previous version, but they wanted to upgrade to the newest version as well as include some new features on their site like a better sermon management system, calendars that updated automatically, upcoming events featured more prominently and larger graphics on the front page.

Catawba Valley Medical Center

Catawba Valley Medical Center, based out of Hickory, NC was a large project done in conjunction with Project Management Triage in 2009.

It began with a new site for their Nursing division, featuring the Magnet designation that this hospital has received and giving them the ability to update progress reports monthly throughout the year.

A complete overhaul of the existing website was then done, converting their static HTML site into a brand new design with a Joomla content management system that can be updated frequently and easily.

Many independent contractors were involved in this project, of which we were grateful to be included!
